My days at Great Wexly

Finally At The Gates Of Great Wexly

O.M.G Bear and I finally made our way to Great Wexly. I made my way with Bear down the path and as we drew closer I kept seeing more people come around and more and more until i could hardly see Bear but he was so tall. As we come to the gates I saw so many guards and I was scared to be noticed. Bear told me not to worry and play my flute into the city to draw less attention away. I only thought won't that draw more attention but I listened. As we went through the wall I took my first glimpse of Great Wexly it waa ad amazing sight. More people than I have ever seen. So many streets and alleys. To my surprise there was trash and other nasty things lying on the streets. Why was such a nice and large city so trashed. Once Bear and I knew we were safe we stopped playing and went to a place that Bear knew called The Green Mans tavern. As we entered a women by the name of Widow Daventry. She greets Bear with food and a pint of Ale, She then gave me food. Her and Bear talked and then she asked who I was, Bear said i was his apprentice not telling her the truth. She then showed us to our room. Once in Bear showed me a place to hide in case of danger. He told me to stay in the room and left. I couldn't find the temptation to look around the city so I snuck out. As I got into the streets the city was amazing. When I got out I saw a bunch of guards who I thought were after me but they protecting something. I had heard that Lord Furnival died and that might have something to do with him, it was a women. As I walked around  I saw the most  thing I had ever seen. It was called a Cathedral the biggest church I had ever seen. I saw many guards outside so I was careful when walking. They didn't even notice me. I went in to prey and just my luck John Aclyiffe was right there preying. How could a man who surely killed a Father be in a church. He turned and our eyes met. He yelled at the guards to get me I ran as fast as I could. One man got close enough to kill, I took out my dagger Bear gave and tired to smite thee but I couldn't even ouch him he then hit my wrist so hard he knocked it out of my hand. I ran again down whatever alley I could find. I knew I had to get out of here so I ran to the gate but it was CLOSE. I was shocked, scared, and mad at the same time. I knew I had to get  out of sight so I only walked down alleys. As it grew dark and started to rain I knew i had to get back to the tavern. I got lost and then curfew hit I was wondering alone now. Then to my surprise I saw Bear I ran to him and gave him a hug. We got back to the tavern and ate again. I was told to stay in y room again Bear had to take care of business. I heard him talking all night and went to see about what. HE was talking with John Ball I later found out. He was talking about unholy things and things that could get you burned at the stake Bear than came to bed and we went to bed. I woe up early and went downstairs, Widow Daventry saw me and told me to help in the kitchen Then I saw him again. The one eyed man it was him looking for something I prayed to Saint Giles it wasn't me. I cooked some bread and dropped a delicious thing by the name of I have no idea. I didn't want to get yelled at so I ate, I hope I don't get hepatitis. A few hours later Bear awoke and Had a pint of Ale and more food. He was going on business to some guild again. I had to say alone :(. I got upstairs and saw the one eyed man pointing guards in Bears direction. I went to chase Bear to warn him. When I caught up to him he was in a shoe guild which had a picture of a shoe. I went around to investigate. I saw the guards about to barge they right into that guild. I made my way into the building and told Bear about the guards. Everyone ran. Bear and I ran to a wall and tried to scale it. I made it but they GOT BEAR OH NO. I ran hastily to the tavern asking everyone if they saw a large man being pulled through. someone said a man was pulled into the large manor house. I got back to the tavern and wanted to tell
Widow Daventry about what happen but her place was ransacked. She was crying on the floor with welts and blood on her face. Lets cut this short and say that I told her what happen and I hid in the secret compartment all day. then some guards came in again and checked for me. Then Widow Daventry came in and told me about my mother having royal blood and my dad being Lord Furnival. So I was wanted dead by many them thinking I might steal the thrown. I then left to go save Bear. I went around so guards outside of the entrance to the manor house and climbed p the side. I made my way to the balcony. I snuck around and found a room with daggers and swords I stole a dagger. Then I came about a room looked like for praying. I saw a Statue of Furnival He had my face. Just then stupid Aclyiffe came in and told me to surrender I pouched on him and cut his throat a Little and made him swear on Jesus that he would let me and Bear leave this horrible town. He agreed. We made our way down to the dungeon where I saw Bear all beating up he had whip marks and burns. He crawled out of this cell scared and we made our way to the gate,. Once we got there Aclyiffe said we can go no farther and went to smite me. I took out my dagger he was too good and he knocked it out of my hand. Bear then caught and him and Aclyiffe had a duel. Aclyiffe lost and he was thrown at a wall of soldiers. Then Bear and I made our way out of that horrible city singing and dancing our way out.

History

Back then large cities had Cathedral made in the Gothic theme. Also large cities had large manor houses. For a city of that size there were many streets and merchants, There was also a lot of trash. Many people came to these cities wanting a more independent lifestyle  even though there was a curfew. Many of the people there couldn't read so most signs had a picture of what was sold there. Like the Guild Bear went to a meeting in. Next to the size of the people there were many houses that stretched over the alleys and city streets, mkaing all the streets very shady and dark. Just like me and bear there were many performers in large city making a profit of of people who cant afford to give there money away.

My Travel

On my way to freedom.

Hey I'm back and more Crispin than ever. I walked through the forest and as I was walking I saw a horrible omen. I saw a devils sight, A man hung on a tree covered In moss and all the animals from the village eating out his eyes. I was petrified by the sight, I prayed long and hard and ran away. As I wondered into a little town probably attacked by the great mortality. As I came into the town I saw Church which I heard a man singing. As  I walked in I saw a large man with a red beard. He was the biggest man I have ever seen. With a large stomachs and a tunic split in half one side black and one side was red. as I got closer I saw that he noticed me he turned around and saw how I was shaggy and my clothes were dirty. As he drew closer I didn't know to stay or run. He was too close to run so I stayed. He saw the way I looked so hungry and offered me bread. I was shocked but reached out. HE grabbed my hand and squeezed it. HE said to me in a loud voice since ,"you ate the bread you are now my servant and I'm your master, say it". I was so scared he kept squeezing my wrist and squeezing harder until I agreed to be his servant. Once I said that he let go and went into silence. Bear then asked me why I was in the village alone. I told him that I was just running away not telling him the real reason why I ran away. I then asked him what happen to this village. He told me it was attacked by the great mortality. Me and him then left the village as we were walking he then took out 3 little leather balls and started to throw and catch them. It was amazing how he did it was like it was magic. We camped out in the forest for the night with bear and he gave me food. The next day he gave me a flute to play. He told me to play it as we walked in the forest I told I couldn't. He started yelling at me and saying play the tune NOW. All day of playing I finally got the tune. I started playing then Bear joined in and started to juggle and we began to preform together. Once we were done we went to bed Bear gave me bread and I went to prey. When bear saw me preying he asked what I was doing. I told him I was preying and then he told me I couldn't prey I tried to reason wit him but it was no use he was my mastered so I preyed secretly. The next day I Bear and I went to a town by the name of Logcott as we were heading for the gates I saw a few men, they where Aclyiffe and his men. I had already told Bear about what really happen so me and him went through the forest instead of the road as we were walking I went into more detail of why I was wanted by John Aclyiffe. As we were walking we finally got to the town of Logcott. When we got to the entrance bear told me to start playing my flute as we walked into the Logcott. As we approached kids came around us and followed us around. As I surveyed the area I noticed that the town was the same as Stromford with the church in the middle. Cottages to the side and the manor on the opposite side. Me and Bear approached the center of town everyone started to form a circle around Bear and me. We were creating quite a crowd,we got a many pennies. Bear then took a object form a man only having one eye. He stormed off looking mad I wanted to tell Bear but i didn't want to bother him. We stayed most of the day and then me and Bear left. I told him how much that town looked like my town,He told me that lord Furnival owns that and many other land. I then told him about the one eyed man, he told me to forget about it. I didn't want to forget but I had to forget for my master. We were walking and camping for a few day. One day I asked Bear to read my cross he read and looked at me in shock. I asked him what it said and he told me to be quiet and go to bed, I did but now I want to know what it says. The next day we approached Great Wexly.

History

You see back then there was many historical things going on. For example, many towns and villages were hit by the great mortality. Many towns were owned by the same Lord like Lord Furnival. People like Bear traveled the world but not for the same reasons as bear i'm starting to think. Going on in this time period some peasants were wanting to revolt against there Lords and king.

My Beginnings as Crispin.

At Stromford

This is my first blog and I'm wicked excited but I got bad news.  My mom just died, the priest and I are burying my mother. Then stupid john Aclyiffe comes over and he wants me to give him like two oxes for her death. I only have one, so I stormed off into the woods and hit my head off a rock :(. I then awoke to john  Aclyiffe making some type of arrangement with some mysterious guy. He saw me though as I was still awakening. He then chased after me, I ran and ran and then I got caught in vines. He almost killed me but he missed and I ran again and fell down a hill. I stayed until morning. I spent my day in a tree when men came through the forest looking for me!! I then found out they were looking for me, I was scared. I then saw all the village people go outside the church and I saw the mysterious man from the rock I was standing on. I then said to myself that I would see father Quinel later to see what it was about and maybe get food. When the day was dark I went to Father Quinel to seek guidance. When he saw it was me he let me in and told some information about me. He told me my real is Crispin, how my mother can read and write, and that my father was not killed by disease. Then told me to head to Good wife Peregrine's tomorrow before I leave. I spent another day in a tree before night. As i was heading to Peregrine's house I saw my own house being knocked down and took my animals. I ran to Peregrine's house and she gave me some stuff. She gave me food and gave him a cross that was his mother. When I went outside I saw a shadow around me I got scared but it was Certic. I was told to head south but he said that I should go west. I listen to him but when I got there I was surrounded by men with weapons. They were all around me, Certic lead me into a trap. I saw John Aclyiffe, I ran into the old mill where there chased me. I jumped into the water leaving the village and swam it. As I reached the end of my village I saw father Quinel dead on the ground with his neck slit laying in a pool of blood. I was horrified and prayed for him and ran.

History

Life on a manor was hard for a peasant. I had to work all day with other peasant. You really have no say in anything. You just work all day and go home to a hut. The diet of a peasant stinks, you only can afford the things you grow and bread. meat was very rare to eat. In my tiny hut I house different types of animals. My life consists of work and that's it no fun for a peasant.
